Christy brings extensive credentials in horsemanship, including service as a United States Pony Club District Commissioner and certification as a Level 4 Natural Horsemanship practitioner. She is a BLM Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) certified trainer and competitor, with placements in both Mustang and championship burro events.

Her training approach integrates liberty work and positive reinforcement with thoughtful pressure-and-release mechanics. The central goal is developing animals that are confident in human leadership and willing partners — not simply compliant ones.

Core Training Objectives

Christy's foundation work produces animals that are:

  • Calm and confident under pressure and novel stimulus

  • Safe and reliable for hoof handling, standing tied, leading, and trailer loading

  • Capable of carrying a pack or rider, where appropriate

  • Experienced with trail obstacles, camping, hiking, hobbling, and high-line setups
